I’m April Collins, and with my beautiful family, we’re starting a joint city-farm life!

My husband, Rhett, and I started a custom cabinet business in 1999 (read here) that we’ve grown into a successful home design and manufacturing company. I am a self-admitted workaholic who is passionate about what I do. I get up at 4 am because my goal is to get as much done as I can before the sun comes up!! I spend that time working out, reading, cleaning the house, laundry, and making a hot breakfast for my four boys before they go to school and then I get ready and head to the office.

At the end of a busy work week, my favorite way to relax is being at our country property. As a family, we are happily transforming an old farmhouse into a beautiful and functional modern home surrounded by land and animals. There are far more projects than I can count and an abundance of nature.

If I’m not in my work heels or my farm boots, you’ll find me curled under a blanket snuggling one of my boys with one of our dogs trying to join in on the cuddles. I can’t get enough of my family and I wish time would just stand still.
